The Story

Hi, I'm Muhammad Zain — a solo developer from Pakistan. I built Protawk from scratch, every line of code, every design decision, every feature.

The idea started from frustration. I watched freelancers and small agencies juggle between Slack, Trello, Google Drive, and email chains just to manage client work. Sharing deliverables meant WeTransfer links. Getting client feedback meant endless email threads. Tracking time meant yet another app.

I thought: what if there was one place that handled all of it — tasks, messaging, files, and a client portal where clients can see progress and approve work without accessing your internal workspace.

Why I Built This

The Problem

Freelancers and small agencies don't need enterprise software. But the simple tools don't have client collaboration built in. You end up duct-taping 4-5 apps together.

The Solution

One workspace with tasks, messaging, file management, time tracking, and a dedicated client portal — so your clients see exactly what they need to, nothing more.

What I Believe

Honesty Over Hype

Protawk is early stage. I won't pretend to have thousands of users or a big team. What I have is a product I built with care and a genuine desire to make it useful.

Simplicity First

Most project management tools are built for everyone and end up fitting no one. Protawk is built for freelancers and small teams who do client work. That focus keeps things simple.

Ship and Listen

I'd rather ship something real and improve it based on feedback than spend years building in isolation. If something is broken or missing, tell me — I'll fix it.

Fair Pricing

Flat team pricing, not per-seat traps. A generous free plan that actually lets you do real work. Paid plans for when you genuinely need more.

Where We Are

Protawk is live and free to use. The core features — workspaces, tasks, messaging, file management, time tracking, and the client portal — are all built and working.

I'm actively looking for early users who do client work and want a simpler way to manage it. If that's you, I'd genuinely love your feedback. You'll be shaping the product directly.

This is the beginning. The product will get better with every user who tells me what works and what doesn't.
